?? for you ML experts..

does anyone on here beside me have a Pifer ML? Ive had it for about 5 years and love it, also, from you experiences what are the cleanest burning primer/powder combos? thanks

A Pifer? That's a new one on me MichHunter. Would sure like to see some pictures.

I have never seen one. I think they were a custom rifle. Like Semisane said, if you have pictures... please post.

i saw pictures of one on the web.Peifer TS93 I think was the model # the company was in Illinois.I don,t know if they are out of business ,or just don't have a website. when i goggled it ,I found a classified add from this forum.a member that called himself encoreman
sold one back in 2005.Had some good pictures on that thread. VERY DIFFERENT

WOODTICK- Thats the model I have I thought they were out of Pennsylvania but I could be wrong It is definately a different gun, the primer slips in from the bottom in a separate piece that comes out and you **** it by twisting the trigger guard, I will work on getting pictures as soon as I find the cord for my camera to get them on the computer

The Peifer was and is a quality rifle. Bob's Guns and Tackle in Hastings used to sell them. I have handled quite a few of them several years ago. They also had pre-rifled conical bullets that would load and shoot very nice. They came with Bell & Carlson Stocks and Douglas Barrels

They were not the first production inline rifle to use the 209 primer though, the Michigan Arms Corp "Wolverine" (1979) holds that distinction as far as I know. Another rare 209 primer inline was the Lenartz RDI-50 that was made in Alto, MI.

Here is some information with pics of the Peifer.

thatmichhunter,

I'm from mid-mich, and I too have spent way too much money at Bob's, Jay's, Schupbach's, Williams Gun Sight, Goldstar, Cabelas, Bass Pro, etc,. Several other places as well. Came real close to buying one of those Peifer's back in the mid-90's, they are very nice rifles.

I realy like mine but like someone stated before they are a pain to clean because the whole gun has to be tore down to get it apart
