Are you saying that Knight's breechplug or the conversion breechplug needs the Federal 209A primer only? If so that certainly limits my options. Dang

Also, where did you read that about only using Federals? Certainly not in the Lehigh website about the BP conversion

I will see what Dave has to say and will let you know.

It sounds like your Knight tool is bottoming out. Try using a deep well socket with an extension to make sure the breech plug is all the way in. It really sounds like it's not. If it is all the way in just email Dave with your problem. He will make it right.

I think Grouse may be on to something.

I just tried my new Lehigh plug in my .45 and .50 Elite's and they fit fine on both. But, I previously had the Knight NFPJ installed in both and had already deepened my Knight B/P tool with a 5/16" drill...to get a full purchase on the Knight plug. I believe you will definitely need to do this to fully install the Lehigh plug.

Also, the Lehigh adapter fit on the 2 bolts was perfect.

I'll try some 209 primers tomorrow.

Those of you having a problem with closing the bolt on the new lehigh, please look at this picture and then let me me know what you are seeing.....

The 209A was the primer i recommended while testing the plugs. There is a wide variance with all the different primers. The tighter fitting primer equals less blow back with this plug. Of course your situation, i would not enjoy either. Theirs tight and to tight. Yours is to tight.

That's what i thought. I have a Knight tool that's deep. My other Knight tools are shallow. Your socket cannot be fatter then the Knight tool. Or you can just drill out your current Knight tool a little.

My knight tool is 1.010 deep also, there is some thing not letting it cam over ive moved the bolt back and forth and it looks like in the primer holder is starting to ware some..any ideas

Well, I had two other primers (winchester 777 and cciM. Both stuck, but not as bad as the STS did. Again, I am not sure what they will do with a real load. Might be better, might be worse.

Well, already got an email back from Dave and he asked me to send the bolt piece back so he could see what the problem is. Hope I can get it off the bolt...........
