Nikon 3x9x40 3.6" eye relief

I remembered i have a nikon 3x9x40 scope with 3.6" of eye relief laying around.is that enough eye relief on my triumph with let's say 110 gr 777 loads..let me know what you think lol..if not i will buy the pro diamond that has been mentioned bye several members...thanks

I think 3.6 ought to be plenty, muzzleloaders aren't elephant guns.

IMHO, if you are getting brow beat with 3" of eye relief something is wrong.

I have no idea of how hard your rifle with its load recoils, but that should be plenty of eye relief. Also that is a great scope. You might tap a hat bill once in a while but if your holding right it should not pound your eye socket out...

It's a excellent scope and has been on a 270 and a 25-06 with no issues.my triumph kicks a bit harder than either of those rifles..just wanted some opinions..i will give it a whirl and see what happens...thanks again guys..

That is enough eye relief if the trigger pull length [measured from the trigger to the center of the butt plate along the side of the rifle] is correct for you body size and arm length.

The LOP on the triumph is comfortable for me..i am a big person 6'2" with average length arms for my height.using the quick method of laying rifle in the crook of my arm..my finger is just about perfect on the trigger..will test it out with the scope and see.. thanks
