A box of toys
Dont laught at the chair! i knocked it too until i tried it out LOL. I actually can see myself this September sitting it in, over watching my hunting Valley while pulling snacks and other goodies out of my back pack and just sitting back to relax for once and enjoy the time.
Only weighs 6lbs so it should be fairly easy to tote around in the woods around us. ![]() The holes are where you store the legs for travel. ![]() Shes just posing on it ![]() Also a new Sling Stix set up for my Accura. Thats going to help out this season. They are odd to use, but after 10-15 minutes of playing with them and getting used to them, they actually are a very solid rest system. ![]() I was a little saddened to read ( for pellet use) but i figured my nephew could use it during new mexicos muzzleloading season. Pretty nice set up, you can see i have it all loaded to go LOL. I finally got some powerbelts to try out with the APP-JSG powder. ![]() Other than that above, some bullets are all the new toys i got today. i'll see how those sticks do tomorrow with the 245gr powerbelts. |
No safety belt on that chair lol? don't fall asleep on it!
|
Looks comfy. But that can be a problem. Just like with my cousin. He could sleep anywhere and what did he buy himself? He got a Tree Lounge tree stand. We were out a couple years ago and while we were out, we got a dusting of snow. On my way back to the truck after the morning hunt I had to walk past his stand. When I did, I noticed 3 sets of deer tracks in the newly fallen snow heading right for him.
When I got there, the deer had passed within 10 yds of his stand and when I looked up, there he was, sound asleep, covered in snow. I had to throw a rock at him to wake him up. |
Nice chair and it looks like it folds up nice for packing in and out.

I dont know MD, looks like your gonna have a hard time gettin that chair back away from that mean ol dog, looks like he kinda took a liken to it,LOL! The chair looks like it would be nce for sitting around a campfire in the summer, but when it gets real cold them things are worthless as you cant even move in them without making any noise, and after awhile you'll get sick and tired of carrying it back and forth, especially if you have something to drag out, been there and done that.
As for the Sling Stix, let us know how they work out. I like a good solid rest and sometimes there's no trees around or Im not in my stand when I need to get a shot off so something like this might come in handy. (BP) |

(BP) Ditto on this Ive been wondering how they were to use myself having been spotted a couple of times this season trying to get 1 or 2 steps over to use tree for support. |
took one shot off of the Stix @ 20 yards and loved it. Im already sighted in for 100 yards. Just shooting some 150gr super sticks with the 245gr powerbelt to see how it groups. The 270 platinums shot really darn good.

I've thought about sling stix but I think I'd much rather have a bipod if I do get something. I'm not really sure as I haven't tried either.
|
i tried the bipod deal before. to darned heavy for my liking.
i also found that if you keep the stix bunched up you can use them like a deer rattle. |
After shooting today, i went and took some trophy shots. Handsome lil devil i must say :D
![]() ![]() After looking at that pic, i never realized how well my camo blends into our back yard. |
/first thing is you will tell us the dog ain'r yours it is yur wife's. 'Cause a gib strappin' manly man don't have no Yuppie type dog, Right?
Now on to the chair. If it ain't got a heated seat, I ain't goin' to get one. In my tender golden years, my ass is a great priority while sittin' in the woods. ;) :barmy::barmy::barmy::barmy::barmy: |
MD thanks for the pics after seeing the stiks in use I think I want some where did you get them. And it looks like its a more comfortable shooting position with the T hole stock, might have to see if I can find someone who wants to trade for the reg stock in realtree.
|
the thumbhole is super comfortable. got them from www.Quakeinc.com $70 + s/h but well worth it.
|
Thanks MD, Im gonna look into getting some.

I woke up to it snowing today. What better time than to try those new slingstix out! I tried them in the snow, all over the property and they never slipped once. The bottoms have a very soft rubber gripper on each of the leg and they worked very well today. Even tested out that chair and just sat up above my shooting range and relax for a while. Pretty comfortable and will come in handy on those slow hunting days. Plus it kept my rear end from freezing on the ground.
![]() ![]() ![]() You can see my shooting bench way out there along with a black dot to the right just along the tree line, thats my game feeder. More like a giant bird feeder as thats the only darn thing coming to it! ![]() |
