i would second a CVA Wolf, reliable and accurate for the money.

ive been looking at the cva's. hopefully my jackass friend can get away with using a muzzleloader. if not, i'm almost positive he can get away with a bow. i don't see why not. otherwise looks like he's deer, predator, and waterfowl hunting with a wristrocket this year! lol, what a retard... all for trying to hook up his buddy some pot. hope he learns

Wabi,

Thanks for the info. I don't know all the laws regarding ML's- I just know that in Ohio a lot of restrictions on guns don't apply to ML's - like being able to send through the mail without sending to a FFL, no background check, etc. In Illinois, you can't mail them & you have to have a firearms holder permit to own a ML.

In WIS a Felon can bowhunt but not use a gun of any type.

I have a CVA Optima that I bought a WalMart for $297.00. It shoots great and in my opinion is a great starter gun.

Your friend might just have to settle for a bow or as you put it a wrist rocket. If all else fails he could hunt with a camera for the next year.

I am looking for my first ml as well. What I have found out so far is; Get all the information you can on ml (this forum has been most helpful to me), You have to handle each companys models to see which one fits you and your budget best, if you are going to hunt your state's ml season check to see if any restrictions are in place on what is allowed, and once you have purchased you ml give us an update on which one you bought. If anyone else has anything to add please do so.
