Ahhh now thats a bullet!
I cleaned out my 100 yard sand bucket this evening after i was finished shooting. Pyrodex RS with these bullets rocked big time. APP 2F did better, slightly better. With APP i had 3 bullets touching and with RS my last 2 shots were touching and the first shot was just maybe under 1" away from the other 2 shots (Yes im shooting with a scope)
Heres a few that i pulled out of the target at 100 yards.
360gr Lee Minie
Recovered weights: 354 - 354 - 359 grains.
No cracks in the skirts,
i forget what the weight of this nosler was but its now 224 grains.

Mnt. Devil,
I have some of those I ordered on ebay from a guy and have yet to shoot them. What rifle did you use and how many grains of RS? Also, I have read where some people put bore butter or something in the base. Did you put anything between the powder and bullet?

Seeing these minies got me to lookin.. One, of my other hobbies is metal detecting. My brother and i have a place we hunt in Ky, not to far from the battle of perryville. Between us over the last few years we have found some great relics. Among them, the most common are the dropped, pulled, chewed minies, bucky balls. Some are carved into objects, buttons, checkers. But they are always fun to find. I like checking out the pulled ones as some have rifling on them. I like the big 69 cals., can't imagine getting hit by one. Anyways, couldn't help notice the similarities.
