Harvester sabertooth bullets

Any one use them and how well do they work ?

They fragment-pancake just as bad as the powerbelts do with a 100gr charge behind them. Ive shot over 60 of them in a variety of weights and the plastic skirt, 95% of the time does not disconnect from the bullet. Ive recovered bullets from my 100 yard shooting range, with the skirt stuck right onto the bullet even though it went into a 5 gallon bucket of damp sand.

I have shot them and found them accurate. I never hunted game with them. They load easy and seem to be a good bullet, but again.. no field experience with them.

I used them for a while they are better than power belts. If you want some thing dependable try FPB Hornady. The thor is good to but they are way over priced compared to the FPB and you can only kill them dead. Lee

way over priced? they wont blow up on elk like fpb does. You want quality, Barnes *aka Thor* or nosler are the way to go.

I have not shot them yet, but I know you can call Alan @ Harvester and request a sample pack of 25 and 300 grain. They will send them out to you to try. Might ask about some Scorpion's also - that is suppose to be their premier bullet.

I worked with 2 different weights of them with my Knight a couple years ago and was not impressed. I was unable to get them to group at all on target - at best what I got was a pattern. I tried lubing the skirt to help it slip off, several different powder loads, and even a couple different powders - all to no avail.

The couple I had left have slipped unnoticed to the bottom of my range bullet box.

Gander if you don't know better than that you need to check them out. I shot them up to 120 gr of BH and they mushroomed very nicely. They definitely are not PB's.
