Hey Jeep, would you mind sending me an e-mail with your home address? I know a guy who knows a guy who will get that thing for me.
.:D |
I like that 1-38 twist.
When you get around to it try PRB with 90+- gr of powder mine liked 90 gr. It also liked 230gr Gold Dot in a sabot and the 200 gr. Its an excellant rifle . Do you have the 45 or the 50? I had the 50cal. |
its a 50 cal how well did yours shoot ? im wondering about how to sight in with the 2 sights any idea how they work and which one is what ?
|
That is a nice looking rifle, congratulations. Tell us how she shoots.
|
I'm not familiar with that particular sight. Express sights are typically set up as: First leaf or standing bar is a shallow "V" for quick shooting regulated to 50yds, Subsequent leaves are usually "U" notched (to match a bead sight up front) for more precise shooting at 100, 200, 300 etc.
Really handsome and interesting rifle you have there! |
Man ive been thinking do i really want to shoot this rifle ? has never been fired and going on 15 years old (new)
|
The ones with that twist were the only ones that shoot both PRB and sabots well for me also did well with the few conicals I tried. Lee

Jeep, it shoot good. I got groups under 3 inches with PRB and sabot s both with iron sights at 100yds. [Thats good for mewith open irons]. Lee
