Slobs that think they are hunters

I will call the people involved non-hunter land owner, slob #1, and slob # 2. This happened durring the last days of the Michigan ml seasone. At work I was asking about slob #1 because I knew he hunted on land owners land. Land owner told me he revoked slob #1, & 2's hunting rights. I asked why? Land owner said that they fired there mls off at 8 pm (it was pitch dark at 5:30 pm) and the neighbors called the police on them. Slobs reply was they were dicharging their mls. Land owner knew the officers that responed and they told him that the DNR could hold him responsible to, since he owned the land. The officers put slob #1 & 2 in the back of the police car (land owner didn't know what happened to slobs). Michigan has outlawed baiting due to Bouvine TB and CWD. The next day slob #2 took 3 pick up loads of bait off land owners properity.
I have since told land owner that the two were slobs and not hunters and not to judge all hunters based on two slob @##$$%$%. I also informed him they could have taken the primer cap off their mls and didn't have to fire them to discharge. I don't know if I am making any head way in changing land owner's neg opinon regarding hunters or not. I will continue with positive feedback and maybe land owner will once again allow hunting on his land. If you have any suggestons on what I can say and/or do to help change land owners mind let me know.

Sometimes the few spoil it for the many, and nothing you do can change what the landowner now does. I've seen it happen too many times, The Slobs ruin it for us all.
A good talking with the Landowner may gain you access, good luck!

Offering to do a few chores can go a long way. It will be hard to convince the jury since those losers ruined it for everyone else. Good luck.

There are slob hunters all over. The worst part is, they are never going to change. Even when caught they blame the DNR for arresting them. Just remember, the honest hunter can not change the slob hunter most times, but they can report them. I hope the landowner lets you hunt there. I've worked for a lot of hunting rights. Baled hay. Shelled corn. Just stopped out to visit and no hunting talked about.

Thanks for the replys. I know the land owner and work with him everyday. I will deffently offer to help and do some work for him. There is some nice bucks that come off his land and I would like to show him what tre hunters are all about.

We live in a smaller town in the high desert 3100 ft ele, north of palms springs ca. on the eastern edge of the san bernardino mtns.i have forgotten the number of slob hunters and fishermen i have turned in.most of them from L.A.thank goodness most only hunt opening weekend and don't travel far from the road.i have no tolerance for these type of so called outdoorsmen/outdoors people at all.

I've often discharged my ML to unload, but 2 1/2 hrs after dark seems kinda long. I guess if they were near houses when they did it that would be a no-no, I always did mine back away from anybody and just shot it into the ground 10 ft from the muzzle.

Knowing they were massively baiting against the law, they probably weren't unloading but were shooting at game in the moonlight or something.

Spaniel

I had the same thoughts. We had a nice covering of snow to make it even lighter out with the moonlight. Its unfortuniate but opening weekend brings out all the slobs in michigan also.

Thanks again for all the comments.
