Omega Help Needed

The trigger assembly on my 1yr old Z5 pops open at the slightest bump. It locks into place and the rifle operates without a hitch, but the slightest pressure on the trigger guard spur will pop open the breech.

It didn't always do this. It locked up nice and tight when I first bought it.

Anyone else experience this and how'd you fix it?

Trent

There is a way to fix the problem - it is actually a simple fix but it is complex just getting the adjustment. I would think your best bet is to send it to TC and have them do it....

I thought I knew where I could get some pictures of the operation - but I can not find it.

PM me your email address and I will send it to you. It is a word document and I can not upload it to a PM

Thanks a bunch - I knew I had posted it some place...

Thank you Sabotloader. I saved that thread for when my X7 loosens up.

Can't tell ya'll how much I appreciate the help. Now if ya'll can just tell me where the east Texas bucks are hiding these next couple of days, I'll forever be in your debt!
Thanks,

Trent

Wellll, I can tell you with a lot of certainty... they are not here in northern Idaho...

Semisane 01-11-2010 07:32 AM

That's so easy Trent.

They will be where you would have gone if you hadn't gone were you went.

I have a week left of ML season in the national forest I hunt and I don't have time to do the fix and get back to the range to sight in before it ends. So I'm going to wait until after my last hunt this coming Friday to work on it. I'm just gonna have to rig it up until then.

Semisane: I just noticed you're from Louisiana. What part?

I was born in Lafayette. I lived between there, St.Martinville, and New Iberia up until I moved to Houston 10 years ago. St.Martinville will always be "home" to me.

Well, at least Houston isn't that far from God's country Trent. St. Martinville and New Iberia are great little towns. The only problem with them is you have to shoot all of those geese and ducks every year.

I was born and grew up in New Orleans back when it was the Queen City of the South. I live in the suburbs now and only get into the downtown area a half dozen times a year. Except for three years in Okinawa and two years in Hawaii, I've lived in Louisiana all my life. I love the bayou country.
