omega filled the tag 1/9/10

i shot a 9 point at fourty yards with my omega and 100 grains of t7 and a 300 skockwave. the buck went about 30 yards and expired. ill post a pic of it later or tommorow. nothing huge but he is a shooter and ill tell you what first year i decided to hunt with a ml only and i was getting worried about filling my tag but thats all over now. :D

awesome man, What county was it in?

redneckmike87 01-11-2010 04:27 PM

the buck in this thread was a licking county buck (the one in my profile pic was a knox county buck) i dont have an exact weight but i know he is around 150ish and was alot of dead weight for me and my best friend to drag from the back of the golf course to my aunts house ( a little over a mile or so on the cart path) yeah thats right he was an uppity golfin kind of deer

Chasam60 01-11-2010 04:29 PM

Nice buck and not to worry, unless you are hunting bean fields that Omega is all the rifle you will need.Is your alternative in Ohio a shotgun or rifle?

Charlie

redneckmike87 01-11-2010 04:42 PM

shotgun ,pistol, or bp rifle only and the mossberg slug gun was the old go to but not anymore. there really isnt a need to use a c/f rifle here anyway most of my deer have been taken between 15 feet and 75 yards in the thick brush or hunting the field lines the right way

mnprohunter 01-11-2010 04:48 PM

Dandy buck! Nice shooting, nice deer, nothing to complain about there at all.

Antler Junkie 01-11-2010 07:35 PM

Congrats! Great buck.

u r screwed Mike-Once the MZ bug hits u there is no cure known to man. Next thing u know u will be buying more bullets just to try them out, and it only gets worse from there. Your slug gun will end up like mine,a neglected orphan in the cabinet.
