First off i want to say merry Christmas to everyone. Then i also want to congratulate all the people who had a successful hunting season this year. I know i missed a lot of great stories.
I got some stories to share of my own. On December 16th i was invited to a controlled goose hunt in Pymatuning PA. It was a cold snowy morning and it was a successful hunt to say the least. We were able to call the Geese into the decoys and shoot all four Geese by 8:30am. We are only aloud to shoot one Goose per person and limited to 10 shells a person in the blind.

Next was a trip to Ohio on a late season Muzzleloader hunt. Me and three of my buddies left on friday Dec 18th for a two day hunt Saturday and Sunday. We saw lots of Doe's and one Buck. The Buck was 15 minutes before legal shooting time. So no shot was fired. I did shoot a Doe at the end of the day on Saturday at 207 yards with a 200grn Lehigh and the 45cal Knight Disc Elite. So far the Lehigh bullets are showing the same great results at long range then as short range. Sorry no pics of that hunt.
Now i'm getting ready for a little different hunting. The day after Christmas i will start hunting with my Flintlock for one Buck and two Doe's. I shot in my FL today and it only took some minor adjustments. My load is a 300grn QT, and 100grns of 2f black powder. I also use 4f in the pan. I ignite with T/C flints as well.

After FL season i will head back to Ohio for a late ML hunt January 9th thru the 12th. I'm pretty excited for that and hope to get a nice buck.
So i have been very busy and still finding time to enjoy the great outdoors.

Merry Christmas to you and your family there Grouse.. Good luck with the flintlock hunt. Going to have a nice goose for dinner? 207 yards is a long shot at a deer. How far did she run after getting hit with that Lehigh bullet?
