Tons of public ground in Ohio. I use to hunt the Wayne National, just above Corning, on Irish Ridge. Just don't have the leg's anymore for the hill country. You have the best of 3 county's, Perry, Morgan and Athen's, all top producer's. Was seccessful on each an every trip. Never kilt no trophy's, but had seen a few.

the wayne is a good place to start but be careful like you would on any public land. ive killed several deer down there on the hocking ,athens side

The National Forest on the River is highly underrated as well. Good hunting there.
