TC Rifle; which one?

Hi all. I'm looking to buy a muzzleloader for my brother for Christmas. He will be hunting deer in MO. He has a ton of rifles, so I'm guessing he will only be using this as a BP rifle. I only say this because I've read where one or two of the TC's have interchangeable barrels. He is a big time hunting aficionado, so I want him to have a great rifle. I have a few questions I'm sure some of you will be able to help me with.

1. If you could only have one BP rifle to hunt deer with, which one would it be?

2. I like the looks of the SS barrel as opposed to the WS ones. Is this just a preference issue or does one have pros that outweigh the other?

3. Do any of you have a place or two that you feel offers the best deals? I've been keeping an eye on gunbroker.com and a couple of other sites, but thought some of you might have a couple of gems that I've not found yet. I don't mind spending the money, but would love to get the most bank for the buck, pun intended.

Thanks everyone, I truly appreciate any help you can provide.

1) If I could have a new 50cal inline now, I'd want the T/C Triumph. But it's hard to ask for more performance when I've got an Omega ;)
2) In all reality, there's no advantage to stainless. Might look better depending on the rifle, might fight corrosion better. But you're going to be keeping your rifle clean and out of salt water (more than likely :D). Blued is more affordable and performs just as well in the accuracy department.
3) Keep an eye open for sales at the usual retailers (Cabela's, scheels...), look into Natchez or Midsouth shooters supply.

Be sure the rifle you're planning on purchasing will suit the laws for the state(s) it's going to be used in.

TRIUMPH all the way ....too bad you can't get a S/S barrel ..i have an ENCORE and have shot both ML ers ...i find the TRIUMPH better balanced not barrel heavy ...

I'm actually VERY surprised that folks would suggest the cheaper Triumph over the legendary Encore Pro Hunter!

Especially if your brother is seriously into hunting, I'll PROMISE you he would want the Encore more, especially considering that with it's interchangable barrels he could have as many different combos as he could ever want! It just makes sense as the more "perfect" gift.

Triumph in all camo
My opinion interchangeable barrels means nothing to me.
I have no desire for a single shot rim fire rifle or shotgun.
