Knight LK-93 209 Conversion and White Hots
 

Anyone done this or know anything about it? I'd like to swap to a 209 system and try those white hots out. Any suggestions?

Yes, I know it's an outdated ML, but it was a gift from my wife a month after our wedding. She's here to stay!

I personally do not like changing the design of a rifle. As for the White Hots... there have been some reports on it, but nothing that stands out in my mind.

I had a Knight Wolverine with 209 ignition. The rifle shot accurately but the blow-back was so bad I put the #11 plug back in. Personaly I don't like a 209 set up in a plunger style gun.

I am strictly going by what I have heard, but according to some the white hots aren't any different than the triple 7 pellets except that they didn't add the charcoal color. I agree with Dave and Nimrodder on the 209 conversion. I have kept my wolverine and my mk-85 as they were originally designed, to use #11 caps. I can't shoot pellets but I don't want to anyway. I have heard others that like the 209 conversion.

I have a LK-93 and converted it. Glad I did. It is now my son's gun. I use 90 grains of T7 loose in it.

Well personally I tried the conversion in one of my guns and it worked ok but it gets the best accuracy with the musket cap so thats what is on it.
As was stated above the white hots get the same velocity and the same crud ring and come from the same company as 777.

I have used the White Hots with the CCI shotgun primers and do not get the crud ring in my Encore. I haven't tried the CCI's with the 777 yet, but plan on doing so. I'll use the 777 if the crud ring is not bad. I'm using 2 pellets with the TC 240 grain Mag Express and getting accuracy good enough to kill a couple of does at 130 and 137 yards. This year I have killed 6 deer with this combination, all but 1 were bang flops, the other went about 100 yards before expiring. I like the powder, the primer, and the bullets performance.

FYI-
I installed conversion kit in my old bk-92 a few years ago, using triple 7,90 gr., remington muzzleload primers and 275 gr. barnes bullets.
The gun shoots great, I keep thinking about buying new, but why when this old gun shoots so well
