Question between the Pro Hunter and Encore

I just bought a T/C Pro Hunter. I'm wondering what the difference is between the Pro Hunter and the original Encore as far as accuracy goes?

With me shooting there would be no diff at all.
Each gun will shoot at a level far better than I.

Guess it would depend on how good your hunter is shootin. My ol' 10 yr. Encore 50 cal. barrel on the ave. shoots 3 shot, 1 1/2" groups an has givin me 1" groups at times. I can cover up 5 shot groups with a nickle most times w/the 22-250 barrel. { 100yd. targets.}The gun is a shooter, if the guy pullin the trigger does his job. I will admit, this didn't happen right out of the box. I have a lot of time invested.

I guess I have heard that the Encore has had some problems with loose barrels and was wondering if that is the case with the Pro Hunter as well?

As far as accuracy a lot depends on the shooter. My tc encore shot good but with a little work became a really good shooter. The biggest problem with them is the slop in the hinge pin. You can get an adjustable hinge pin from E. Arthur Brown Co. for $21.00 its worth the money. With center fires, take the time and break the barrel in properly. The way I break mine in is clean the barrel good. For the first 10 shoots I clean the barrel after ever shot with a good solvent and brass brush. After the 10th shot I clean the barrel really good, then I run a worn brush wrapped with a cotton patch wrapped around it with J-B compound on it. About 10 strokes with the J-B, then clean the barrel really good again. Do the same for the next 10 shots the same way. Now your ready to do some testing. My 25-06 will shot 1/2 to 3/4 in. groups all day long now. As for the .50 it really helped with the grouping also.

My Endeavor will produce groups from 1/2 inch to 3 inches depending on what load is put in it the fit of the sabot bullet combination to the barrel and how well the load seating pressure is regulated. Lee
