shockwave superglides.
I got my triumph today shot it. the black 250 shockwaves are a bear to load. NOw i can deal with it. But i mean they are hard to load. I am thinking trying the super glides. Here is my questions. Should i finish sighting in with the black sabot then try the super glides. Or just go get the superglides and try those? What are the chances the superglides will group good since the black sabots load so bad. Grouping is what i am worried about. I can deal with loading the black sabots if need be.

It sounds like you are borderline, the only thing you can do is try it. The superglides may work ok for you as from your description you do indeed have a tight bore.

Posted this in your other thread , but thought it was appropriate here.
In my Triumph the 250 grain shockwaves were tight to load. Not difficult, but tight. Tight for me equaled accurate. I tried the superglides and accuracy was non-existent. I shoot 2 pellets of 777. I would stick with the supplied sabot or go to the Harvester's. To many bad reports here on the superglides. I will check tonight and see if I still have some lying around. If I do, I will PM you and send them your way. |
My Hawkens shoots both pretty much the same, the superglides are easy to load but almost too easy. So I stick with the regular black for my Hawkens. I did mess up the other morning and while loading up both .50's for me and my nephew I accently put superglides in both guns. (In a hurry as it took him 45 minutes to take a darn shower) so we were running late. I shot a buck this past Friday, and at 25 yards the superglides still drilled his heart.
All guns are different and shoot different so you just need to find what works for you. |
The super glides as I understand it were made for those T/C bores that were too tight. I have tried them both in my Black Diamond XR. I found that while the black sabot loaded tight, they shot great. The Super Glides being much easier to load, were not quite as accurate as the black sabot.
