help figuring my trajectory
 

I shoot 100gr. (2 sticks of APP) and a 295 gr. hollow point PB.
I am dead on at 50 yards. Anyone know the trajectory for this combination or do I need to just do a bunch more shooting at different distances?? I know some combinations there are known trajectories for.... any help is much appreciated.

2" high @ 50 and that should put you close to dead on @ 100.

really? thats kind of impressive. I didnt think a ML with 100 gr. would shoot that flat....

Well lets say this. If you are sighted dead on @ 100 yards, that bullet will be Aprox 4" low at 150. 175-200 yards, put it a couple inches over its back and its going down.

right on, my primary concern is 50-100 yards. I dont think I have ever shot a deer out past 100 in many many years. I am more concerned about 50-100

I would agree- 1 - 2" high at 50 yards should put you dead on at 100. If you're dead on at 50 yards now, you'll probably drop 3 - 5" at 100 yards, but you'll have to get out there and shoot it to be sure.

Go to handloads.com and you can figure your ballistics. It's very cool. You'll need to know some info about your bullet and FPS but you should be able to pull this from the manufactures website.

Mark below is the load I'm using this season for deer. I'm using 80 grains of 3f Goex with the 295 PB. I've chronied this load from my Apex. I'm not sure how 80 grains of Goex compares to the 100 grains of APP sticks. I think its within about 40 to 80 fps.

I shoot open sights so my sight height might be lower. It does change trajectory to use a scope ... particularly if your mounts are see through. Typically 1.5 " is used for sight height with standard rings. I got the following ballistics from http://www.handloads.com/calc/index.html
