i have a traditions buck hunter pro inline .50 muzz loader

i have been readin on how ta clean it and some people said run boilin water through and it doesnt appear anything will run through the barrel and out..it seems like the spot for the primer is blockin the pressure:hail:.. one way hole maybe? should i take the 2 screws out and try that?

What powder and if you are using a conical that you lube what you are using.
You have not given us enough information for us to give you an intelligent answer.

Here's a link to a schematic to your gun that will help. I am not familiar with that gun but do own 3 Lightning Bolts and can clean them in my sleep. Hope this helps.

Traditions Firearms have manuals that tell you all of this. You can download them in PDF format and save them on your computer. They have a lot of information in there for you.

Not sure what screws you see, but be careful if you remove the end cap, that spring is loaded and would sure put an eye out.

i looked at the pic and it certainly helps, i am tryin to get all the old stuff out, looks like it aint been cleaned in a long long time, i just got it and dont know whats been put through it, it does look dirty..

in the box that came with it is:
1 tube of Bore Butter
1 box trip 7 50-50 pellets from hodgedon
and cci no. 11 perc caps

so i am wanting to run boilin water through it to get everything outta it and be ready fer muzzy season in January..

i still cants see from the pic that takin it apart is gonna allow water to pass through.. can n e 1 else..the pic is the 2nd or 3rd comment

From the picture, it looks to me like the 1st step would be to remove the cap (part KK) off the rear of the action. It should unscrew. Careful so the spring behind it doesn't shoot out anywhere. Then the parts of the bolt should slide out through this opening once you unscrew the ****ing bolt (part HH).

The gun should have a tool for removing the nipple (LL/MM) on one end of the tool, and the larger end should be used for removing the breech plug itself. It should look like a long socket, probably several inches long, with a hole drilled through each end of it. Just take the nipple out, flip the bp wrench around and take the plug out.

Guess you were posting at the same time I was.

I expect you need to do more than run the boiling water through. That rifle might be corroded to the point of being dangerous. Get her broke down completely and cleaned as best you possibly can, then do a careful visual inspection at the very least.

Store that bore butter somewhere out of sight, put some good gun oil in that bore and some good anti-seize grease on the plug and nipple threads. Patch it out with alcohol patches then dry patches before loading it up.

You might consider some fresh powder as those old pellets are probably bad.

Simply running water though is not going to do it well enough. You need a cleaning jag and patches. If you have no idea what powder was used, try cleaning with water-wet patches, rubbing alcohol/water patches, and smokeless solvent (Hoppes) patches and see which seems to work best.

If that crap has been in there awhile you are certain to have corrosion. I'd never buy a used ML without dropping a bore light down it first.
