That is a GREAT buck. I can tell by the smile on your face that it has been a long time a commin.You deserve him Ray. I am framing that picture and you are going on my friends wall. I have pic's on my bedroom walls of my kills and my friends. I sit in my bed and am surrounded by these great memories. We need to get together and hunt. I'm not going to Michigan this season so I may be able to come hint,hint. I'm not obvious am I? Congrats again. |
Scott, I have access to 22,000 acres and you know that you are welcome to stay with us. We should return from the Texas hunt on the 10th of November so anytime after that will be good. As you have seen from the pictures we are seeing a lot of bucks this year

I have to come on here to see what a deer looks like. I'm hunting a new spot this season and have seen zero does and yearlings but some scouting yesterday revealed some real good buck sign. I think I will get out of the blind and take the hunt to him with the muzzleloader. |

I'll be down in Sampson and Duplin County hunting the week of Thanksgiving with some guys I work with. What did he weigh? I've never seen a deer that big down there. Are they bigger near the ocean??? The ones I'm used to seeing (Warsaw area) just always strike me as tiny deer. |

I have a place down in n.c. calabash along the cost I yet to see a buck like the one you shot I think the deer in n.c. upstate are a lot bigger then along the seashore area |
It's pretty much the same down here in Louisiana lonewolf, marsh deer tend to be on the small side. But now and then a real nice one shows up. Check out this recent report from the marsh.

Congratulations on taking a nice deer. I live in Charlotte but usually hunt in virginia. The deer on the farm we hunt have vanished this year. There is a lot of talk of people taking them illegally to feed their families if they are laid off. Beats me.That is an awesome deer you harvested.
