Gun: .50 Encore
Scope: Zeiss 4X32
Powder: Goex Pinnacle 3F
Primer: Winchester shotgun
Bullet: 250 grain SST
Sabot: Hornady Low Drag

Replaced the scope on my .50 Encore with a Zeiss 4X33 scope and boresighted it using a laser bore sighter. Yesterday i took the gun to the range and got it dialed in on the 50 yard target.

Put a target paster on the 100 yard target and fired a three shot group that was centered about 2.5" low and slightly to the left of the aiming point.

Made my scope adjustments and fired another three shot group. This group measures "13/16." It is by far the best group that i have fired in a long time.

That Zeiss is a very clear scope. i could easily see the bullet holes at 100 yards.

I'm a believer in 4X scopes too Falcon. But mine are waaaayyyy at the other end of the cost spectrum.

Wow!! all I can say. That is some excellent shooting.

Great shooting... and a great scope. I absolutely love my Zeiss, and if I had the cash, I'd replace all my other scopes with Zeiss Conquests, too. My 4.5-14x50mm is so clear that I can usually spot .257cal shot holes at 200 yards. I think that my next major gun accessory purchase will be a Zeiss 3-9x40mm for my Savage 10ML-II.

It came together yesterday. Most of my Pinnacle shooting has been done with 2F. I had played around with Pinnacle 3F several times but never really got serious about it. It burns cleaner than 2F Pinnacle. With 3F there is not as much hard white residue in the last couple inches of the bore. There was some crud in front of the breech plug. This may have been due to my failure to swab the bore with alcohol prior to loading.

Had never gotten a really good group with the 250 SST bullet in the low drag sabot before. Maybe the Pinnacle 3F did it. Am looking forward to Ft. Sill muzzleloading deer season on the 17th and OK season on the 24th. That Encore will go with me this season.
