Pyrodex

My 50cal Omega really likes the Pyrodex Select an all the places here where i live are not carrying it anymore. My question to you i personally do not like 777 due to the crud ring,bh209 just is not cost efficient for me what if any will the pyrodex rs due to my groups at 100 yds(using 100grs select now)will the rs shoot pretty much the same or am i in for a shooting session?Using the 250gr shockwaves.

Just use Pyrodex RS. You will probably never notice the difference other then the money you save.

I agree with Cayugad. I've never seen any difference in performance between RS and Select.

+1 cayugad. Select over RS isn't much change. Just more consistency in the Select. That's something you might look for with smokeless or competitive shooting, but the average joe isn't gonna notice a difference.

Thanks guys.......I did not know for sure if there would have been any problem switching powders an hoping my scope will stay pretty much zero

Pyrodex P burns cleaner than RS and just might shoot as well if not better.
Considering all of the factors it's worth a try.

wouldnt there be pressure and volume differences going with pyro-pistol .i dont think you an replace rs for pistol on a volume basis.

Pyrodex P can be reduced by about 10% volume as a replacement for RS.
