Finally Sighted In---Wahooooooo

Guys, thanks for ALL ya'lls help. I am finally sighted in so I can use my TC Triumph this ML season coming up!!! Everything stayed the same except the pellet load.

My equipment: TC Triumph, Nikon Omega 3-9X40 (Nikoplex (regular crosshairs)), TC SW 250Gr, Harvester short black sabot, CCI Primer.

100 YARDS

I shot a 3-shot group with 2x50 for a total of 100grs of 777 pellet load.

I then decided to try a 2x30+50 for a total of 110gr of 777 pellet load. I only shot a 1 shot group of the 110gr. Reason is I know I had a really good hold and it was right beside 2 of the 100gr shots.

Then I went to a 130gr load, skipping the 120 to see if the higher load would be better or worse. So I did a 2x50+30 for 130gr. I decided to stay with the 130gr as my rifle seem to like it better and I was getting better results with it. I only made one slight adjustment and did 2 more shots at 100 yards. It was just a hair high---I'd actually wanted it to higher, truth be told...since I wanted a 150 yard zero. BUt it was pretty much in line and I decided to leave it alone and got to 150 yards and shoot before I made any adjustments.

(want to upload photos but don't know how---HELP!)---DrAsus :party0007:

well as long as your ok with the accuracy, that's what counts. Sounds like you have a great shooter there. Good luck this season.

And the 150 Yard target:

I was shooting at the Sharpie "X" I made on both targets. I think that being only an inch away at 150 yards from the "X" is More than adequate for whitetail hunting where you have about a 8-10" kill zone. I didn't have an idea shooting rest at 150 yards like I did at 100yrds. I was sitting indian-style on the ground with my rest on a log. I will try some LOOSE in the off season; but I have a feeling this Triumph is gonna get me my biggest Buck yet--DrASUS

Congrats DrAsus. Feels good, eh? :barmy:

Good luck making meat (if you don't, it won't be the gun's fault :happy0157:).

For the setup you had, that is a fine group at 150.

Surprising what the difference is in a bit of load adjustment isn't it.
