Which one do you prefer black composition or laminated out of elite or extreme ? Just want to know

I've only had the composite on my Knights and have to admit, they work great. I do have laminates on my Whites and they are heavy, and some claim slippery when wet. I never noticed that. But the extra weight also seems to soak up recoil real nice, they look great, and I really like them. Both are functional. Its just a matter of what catches you eye I guess.

composite for hunting in the rain and when it snows ...the laminated wood stock looks much better ,even the ordinary wood stock looks better ..but if u ever go caribou hunting and it rains all day u will know the difference ..

I have black composite stocks on both of my Knights. The Knight composites are great stocks. Very sturdy and do not bend. Far better than the flimsy, tupperware, composite stocks that are typical on most factory firearms.

I really do prefer the composite stocks for hunting, especially in the weather that I hunt in. If I were showing them off then no doubt the Laminate or a really nice walnut.... but again for work - the composite...

I just can't seem to develop an affection for composite stocks. I know its silly, irrational and a personal problem - but there it is.

I'm with Semisane on this one. I how ever have never bought a wood stock for either of my Remington 700 ml's.
I once walked out of a gun shop when I was trying to by a shot gun and all the sales guy would show me was tupper ware stocked ones and kept trying to tell me how great they were.

My affections definately gravitate toward the laminate and walnut.
Wood is warm...
It soaks up recoil well
I feel good holding it
I feel good shooting it
It makes my rifle feel solid
I shoot my rifle at the range 10X more than in the field.
I love babying and fussing over my guns, and wood provides me with that opportunity.
The grain of wood makes my gun immediately recognizable as mine.
If I want I can still put the synthetic back on.

I bought a walnut stock for my encore had it on for three days then traded SAXMAN1 for his camo stock . The elk season here is in November and always snowing , so i wanted something waterproof . I also decided i did not need the extra weight to tote around . The wood stocks do look nice though .
