Default URGENT URGENT-----Range help-----*****

I'm at the range NOW guys. Should I start at 100 yards and get it dead center but just 2-3 inches HIGH...or go ahead and go for the 150 yard sight in I want. Please respond ASAP---DrASUS

DrAsus

personally if this is the first trip I start @ 25 yards and get the scope lined up so that you a dead on left and right and maybe a 1" or less high @100

Then normally I go to 50 and repeat the process then a 100

I can not remember what projectile you are shooting but if you sight in @ 100 yds 2/3 inches high and dead on left and right chances are really very good that you will be very darn close at 150 - but only shooting that range will tell you for sure

1st Shot at 150 yards: 130gr 777, 250gr TC SW, Harvester SB sabot, CCI primer

7 1/2 inches left.......9 1/2 inches high

Should I reshoot with NO adjustments and see what 100gr 777 will do or go ahead and adjust for the 130gr 777 and reshoot

If you are going to start @ 150 - then personaly i would re-shoot the 150 yard shot two more times and see if you are coming up with a group....

7X9 At 150 will be a very large scope adjustment... something like 17 clicks right and 21 clicks down...

But I still think you need to find the location of the group...
