Hornady .400 10MM 200 GR HP/XTP
 

Has anyone shot these in there ML with any accuracy? Read good things about the SST's, but you can't get them in bulk, to my knowledge. Would be using the 50/40 Harvester sabot.

gunrac- the 10mm 200 XTP has been my deer hunting bullet for 3 years now. For me it is almost (although not quite) as accurate as the 200 SST. On a good day, I'll shoot 1.5" groups at 100 yards with the XTP. That's almost as good as I can shoot, as my best groups with the SST were 1.25".

It's probably not the "best" all-around bullet out there, but I would say that it is one of the best, especially for the price if you buy them in bulk. I also think that it is a great performer on deer-sized game. I've taken 3 deer with them- 3 shots, 3 kills. I shoot them out of a .45, so I use the Harvestor light blue sabots. Yes, they are an excellent bullet. We switched from the Barnes Spitfires to these awhile back. The 200grn XTP'S did a much better job on game then the 195grn Barnes.

better how? I've never shot a barnes bullet yet because of price but from what i've read and seen from them they seem to work excellant. karl

I have shot them for fun. They were very accurate. I have never hunted with them. Still, on deer I see no reason why they would not do the trick.

Better on game only. The Barnes might of been a hair more accurate.

I used them on a 215 pound buck. I love em' and they are accurate for me. I shot them in a 50/40 cr sabot over 110 grains of BH209. 140 yard measured, did not exit laid under the skin on the far shoulder but man it went 10 yards and dropped! I did use the xtp/mag though because it was a litller harder bullet.
