If you look at the base of the sabot inside the cup on the SW sabot you will find the steps that identify the MMP the SW that I have are all MMP-HPH 24; I switch them for Short Black Harvester sabots. Mostly I find the Harvester sabots more consistent, they also have held up under better with heavy loads for me. Lee

Great report! I found the same thing when I was testing different sabots with the bullet I like to use. I ended up scrapping the supplied sabots and using MMP HPH-12's. It made a world of difference in the accuracy.

Gotta love Clark Bro's!!! Great to see some more Virginia boys on here! Where do you hunt around the area?

Nice shooting!!!! I've noticed big changes in accuracy by switching sabots too.

Hey Hubby, how are you getting along with that 4x ProDiamond on your X7. Like it? Wish you had gone with more magnification?

Liking it a lot. Have only been to the range twice with it but it feels really good, fits the X7 (as you know) and very well made. 4X is plenty of magnification for 100 yds which would be a far shot for the brush/wooded areas I hunt. Also like the simplicity of a fixed scope - less moving parts, less chance of something breaking or moving out of zero IMO. Only open questions are low light ability and durability but at the price I paid for this scope, I can't complain either way.
My plan is still to get confident with some loads and then practice with the peep sight for the season, but who knows? Just might have to try a hunt with it on. Just one. :s4:
