PR Dead Center Bullets 340gr
Has anyone given these a go yet?
I needed some 458 sabots to go with the 275gr Lehighs I ordered up. PR is the distributor in Canada so got to talk to Cecil for a few minutes. I asked him what he had that might work for elk. He said he had the 340s that WOULD work. So what the heck, I ordered up a couple of packs of twelve. Hopefully the Lehighs will show up next week and I will be able to test both these along with some 300gr shock waves. Want to work up a good load for those elk. Son and I are in the Super A pool which gives us a good shot at the 50 either sex tags and 50 cow tags that were issued in the one zone close to us. We will know July 1. Season opens September 1. |
RE: PR Dead Center Bullets 340gr
I do know the 340 DeadCenters are very accurate in a couple Austin & Halleck Muzzleloaders. Even though DeadCenters are very accurate bullets and very good on game. I have shot alot of game with DeadCenters over the years. The Lehigh's will be alot better in terminal performance.

RE: PR Dead Center Bullets 340gr
Any lead bullet especally pure lead has some limitations thats why other types are more popular. I tried some of them, if I cut my normal loads in half they would shoot good if I put what I consider a decent hunting load in they went wild. Lee
