Today with the 338 Platinum Powerbelt @ 100 yards. I used alcohol swabs today and on #3 shot the barrel still had a little blackness to it. The previous 2 shots were perfectly clean.

The paper flap fell down over the #1 shot hole and i did not notice until it was to late. You can still see the outline of the hole nicely though.

Looks like it's worth getting to me. Looks like the Triumph is the only Inline T/C got worth buying now.

Is the Accura a proven BH209 shooter?

BH209 is about all I shoot out of my .45 Accura and I have no problems.
Did you happen to try/use it in cold weather?

As a matter of fact I did shoot it in cold weather...very cold weather. Why? Do you think I should be expecting a problem using BH209 when it's cold in this gun?

Nice, I've been thinking about getting one myself in the near future.

I don't know anything about this ML. I wouldn't want to buy one and have problems. I hunt in PA in very cold temps sometimes. That's the only reason i asked. This one is really catching my eye, trust me.

Grouse45,
I hunt across the river in NY (Roscoe area) and live on Long Island. I got my Accura in January and hunted the late LI shotgun season with it (muzzleloaders are allowed). When my dauther came with me she used the Accura and I used the 50cal PH. It was cold. [&:] I also shot it at the range before and after the January hunting season and it was cold both times.

Never had any problem!

Here is Christin with the .45 Accura during LIs Jan. season.

Very nice thanks. My uncle owns 80acres right near the Casino. I have done very well there. Salamanca NY.

Got winchester 777 and Winchester W209 primers today. If the rain will stop for a couple days i'll have the Accura and the Traditions Kentucky flinter out at 100 yards. Also picked up a couple other goodies like a long rod for cleaning with and a fresh bag of patches that i will use elk tallow on.

Underclocked I see you like the BH209.I think I'm gonna join you on that one too. How much less cleaning is required with it ? I do like my accura but I've been shooting Pyrodex.

Except for the breech plug - a LOT less. Typically you wouldn't even need to swab the bore during a shooting session. Don't go crazy buying it though, you might not like it. My first impressions of the powder werenot all that great but I think I was LOOKING for something to complain about.

Be prepared to clean the heck out of your breech plug though. The carbon buildup can be pretty stubborn. People use everything from Coke to Hoppe's. A little drill bit will make cleaning the flame channel much easier.
