Convenience wise the pellets are great. But reading about the moisture issues, consistency and being able to play it got expensive to shoot and maintain the different grains of powder i wanted to shoot. With loose and Lanes tubes I can load 3-4 different grains of powder I can play more cheaper.

I shoot pellets because I like to experiment. 99% of my shooting is loose powder. 90% of that shooting is black powder. I'm too cheap to shoot pellets all the time, but I do like to play with different loads. Actually my Genesis surprised me last winter when shooting Pyrodex RS pellets. The accuracy was exceptional.

The first time I shot my Omega I used the T7 pellets. Very convient but they do absorb moisture. By the time I got to the end of the pellets, I did notice that they were.....not bone dry, just a whisker damp (for lack of a better word). My Omega loved them, they were very convienient but it was the absorbing affect that turned me off. The crumbled when I seated my sabot, I could fell them compress. There was no solid stop like there was before. Just my experience.

We are dealing with the knee problem here to, my wife just got out of the Hospital with a total knee replacement, I won't get much shooting in until she is back on her feet. After that I will be doing a boar hunt, since I like to use every opportunity to test something I will be testing some bullets I have not used on animals before, and if it arrives in time my new stainless Endeavor.
