RE: He's away enjoying himself
I think he should have waited a little longer before going. That way he would have Dutch's Black powder accuracy system that I mailed to him .He would have had more things to try while there. He might even have had better results to talk about when he returned. But he didn't wait. To bad.[:o] Then again ,now he has a reason to go again as soon as possible:D

Hey Semi - welcome home. How was your weekend? How you enjoyed yourself while I was home busting my a$$ doing yard work and such. And to top it off it was too darn hot to go shooting.
So where are the target pics? Or are you too embarassed to show them? OK - I'll give you the benefit of thedoubt and believe that you are too tired and you are taking care of your sore shoulder from all that shooting you were doing. |
RE: He's away enjoying himself
The weekend was great Bronko.:) It was the last weekend of turkey season, so there were five other guys at the camp. I don't turkey hunt so I was the only one sleeping late each morning and the first one to hit the rifle range.
I shot the Zouave for about five hours Friday (dryballed it once - and ran out of balls) then went out and checked my game cameras (big surprise here - got a 4/7/09picture of an8-pointer - they usually drop their racks beforethe end of March here). Shotthe GP flintlock Saturday (dryballed it once also but didn't feel too bad about it because three of us were shooting and BS-ing- but I also hadabig OOPS!) and built a second shooting bench for the rifle range. Shotthe .45 GM Renegade this morning (not great, but pretty good) and headed home around one o`clock. Reports to come. I've got a little blueish tinge on the shoulder, but nothing serious. One of the guys broughta loadof porkfrom one of last fall'strapped hogs and we had a big old barbeque Saturday evening. Two of the guys got turkeys. |
RE: He's away enjoying himself
Semisane is good at clearing a dry ball. :D And he's got a picture of a cool banana tree. And he likes where he lives, except when it floods.. so he's OK in my book...

RE: He's away enjoying himself
Semi - Its really a simple process
#1 powder #2 patch #3 ball be sure to combine #2 & #3 seat #4 cap (or pan) #5 shoot If you load the first 3 out of order, you usually don't get a 'bang' Hope this helps in your future outings........ Your buddy...................Clem |
