Zouave Makeover
Never did like the blond color on the stock of my Zouave.
I just completed a little makeover - stripped the old finish and applied some MinWax English Chestnut stain and three very thin coats of MinWax water based Polycrylic. Here it is before the makeover. ![]() And here's the "after" photo. I really like the new color. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That looks very nice. The stock on mine is beech wood. I think yours is too. You really shined up that brass while you were at it.
Mine is still a virgin. I'm too busy in the shop to shoot but I'm glad to have the work. I did find out that mine has a faster twist then I expected, it is 1 in 48. I hope it will still do a decent job with the roundballs. Art |
