I shoot a pro with a 28 in. barrel. I was thinking of trying a load with a 200 gr. bullet for goats and wonder if anyone has tried this and how it worked in your gun and what you used.I am just looking for a starting point.Almost forgot it is a 50 cal cva

.452" 300gr hornady xtp in a short black mmp-12 sabot and 100gr rs did awesome groups in my optima. same with the .451 240/250gr xtp in the same sabot.

348gr powerbelt with 90gr pyrodex p shot better though.

I shoot 110gr's of pryo Pand a 250gr shockwave bonded with superglide sabots. This load shoots very well out of my optmia elite.

Not enough information, are we talking about the 200gr 40 cal bullets like the SW and the XTP witch are excellent or the 200gr 45 cal that I have not been able to get decent results from? Lee

I have gotten 3/4" goups with 200gr SW's out of my Optima Elite .50 cal.
