RE: Well... I had to get some...
I agree with Chaps assessment. They're definitely going to have to adjust their pricing if they expect their product to catch on.

ORIGINAL: Grouse45 That's mostly what i used with them. The Tan MMP'S are pretty good as well. What kind of 45cal Muzzleloader are you using? |

They're definitely going to have to adjust their pricing if they expect their product to catch on. You thought is exactly why i do not shoot BH-209, why pay $30 for 10 onces and why do they charge that much when you compare that to any other smokeless - progressive burning powder that Western distributes. Even apply that to the cost of SST/SW's, Noslers, and Barnes bullets - you pay for Barnes because they work for you, I pay the remium for Noslers because they work for me. Somebody is going to pay the price for Lehighs because they work for them. I for one would not think of plinking. shooting paper, clay pigeons with them I prefer to use the less expensive and shoot simular speer offereings. I have not even done a comparison of premium bullets at this point but I will offer this my favorite bullet cost to me is @ least $50 for a box of 50 .458/300 Nosler Partition Protected Points (todays pricing). What would be the cost of a simular package of premium Barnes @ the same size? |

ORIGINAL: sabotloader For myself I totally agree, but would you not think that IF the bullets catch on and full production runs begin that pricing has a chance of coming down... the old addage the more you make the less expensive it becomes. I pay the premium for BH209 because it's the best powder out there And the obvious - it cost a bunch less allowing me to shoot a whole buch more... |
RE: Well... I had to get some...
Sabotloader, Since your camera works really well. I'm going to send you a 200grn Lehigh bullet with a new ballistic point in it. They look great and iplan on testing them this weekend. I will also send one of the 250grn with no Boattail on it.
