I don't get to shoot nearly as often as I'd like. During the Spring and SummerI make the 82 mile trip to the hunting lease range about once or twice a month. But when I do it's for a two-day stay and I do a LOT of shooting. (OOPS! There goes another pound of powder.) Once October arrives I'm at the lease every week end, but hunting time really cuts into my shooting from Oct thru Jan. I sure wish I could shoot out of my back door like some of you guys.

Gees! wouldn't that be nice... I envy Dave walking out his back door plopping down a rifle and plugging away... gosh! that would be nice...

And we wonder why he is so far ahead of us mere mortals...

As much as the weather allows. Living in the Lake Effect Snow Belt Capitol of the U.S. it's hard to shoot in the Winter, execpt for Hunting Season of course. Other than that I live in the Country and I can shoot right out in the yard. But during the warmer weather we do it all the time. BP

I dont shoot nearly as much as I use to. Before my best friend died, 7 years agowe would load up a bunch of rifle shells and go shooting at least every other weekend. Now I shoot about once a month. I live in farm country so its not a problem to find a place to shoot. My cousin farm is just a quarter down the road and we have a 500 yard range set up there. Now days its so dag-gum expensive to do alot of shooting. I did order 3 pounds of pryo P and bought some RS and T7 marked down at Wal-Mart this year so I am gonna do more ML shooting this spring and summer hopefully.

I couldn't live anywhere that I couldn't just open a window and Shot, My 27 Yard front range has a bench that is attached to a 6x6 upper deck pole, so this bench is covered by a deck and roof, it is exactly 8' from my Basement/shop door. My 200 yard range in the back yard is just 30yards from the house. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many pounds of lead have been fired from my front and back decks. It is not uncomon to get together with family and friends and go threw several bricks of 22s, a small can of 38s and everything else right from my decks, If it is raining use the front covered deck, nice and sunny use the back deck. Both have targets in the woods at variouse distances from them.

This is the very reason I cast my own Boolitz and have built a Smokeless ML. I havn't harvested a head of Game with a Condom wrapped bullet in over 15 yrs.

I buy primers in lots of 5000 from Pioneer Valley, All my powder comes from them also, yes even Pyrodex, BH209, My smokeless is all bought in 4, 5 and 8 pound canisters. Get some of your friends together for an order, that way you split the hazmat TAX. It is not uncommon for my family to place a 6 to 8 hundred dollar order once or twice a year.

I like to shoot at least twice a week, 20 to 30 rounds. I am fortunate to beable too shoot 100 yds out the back. In summer it probably is a tie between bow and muzzleloader. The bow might get a little more use in the summer.

I shot today and it was great. I had to get used to a few new things like T7 FFFg, and Sierra. 240gr..45 hollow points. Last shot was standing using the sling & a peep, 100yds & blew a gallon jug filled with water all to crap. Good Times!
