CVA Frontier question

Is the CVA Frontier a traditional styled version of the Bobcat? I've been trying to find a wood stock for my Bobcat with no luck, but have seena fewFrontier stocks available online - sure looks close.

BTW - what was the name and phone number of the company who got all the CVA sidelock stuff? I had it written down somewhere and can't find it.

Its best to give Deer Creek a call before you bid on any stocks you are unsure of. DC is a great place to do business with.

MD, how much inlay and wood work would be needed for it to work? any thoughts on this?

RE: CVA Frontier question

the main concern would be the placement of the wedge pin area of the stock and the barrel. If they dont like up you have to do one of 2 things. either file out a new tenon area to use the factory wedge pin area or cut out a new slit and try to fill in the old inletting. Its just not worth the work IMO. I'd just wait out and see if a bobcat stock ever pops up on ebay or if deer creek has them.

Another option is a pre-inletted stock. A lot of work to get everything in.

Thanks corey012778& MountainDevil54

There is some Frontier stuff on eBay - almost everything needed to build one. I contacted the owner who said the barrel, tang and lock would fit, but the trigger would not. Wonder what the difference is? Oh well, I'll pass on that and give Deer Creek a call.
