Very nice MD. But I really like the wood on the 54 better. But be that as it may, you got a couple of pretty rifles.
Is that an L&R lock?

NICE! What method did you use to brown the barrel? I'm looking to do that on my Bobcat, but not sure what the best way is.

Laurel Mountain Forge.

If you are interested you can send me your bobcat barrel and i'll brown it for you, free of charge, as long as you agree to pay shipping back to you. I have more than enough to do your barrel.

im not sure yet if i will go with either a .562 or .570 mold. Right now its loving 100gr RS with a .531" ball wrapped in a .040 patch. It shoots way low, so that tells me its just not building up the pressure that it needs. I'll buy the mold as soon as i make up my mind. I hear .562 is an accurate ball vs the .570 but hell, i will probably end up buying both.

Awesome 58. I'm looking for one now. A guy I work with builds his own guns and he said he is doing one now with an antique finish. He takes the barrel and plugs it up and soaks it in bleach and apparently it makes the barrel look like it's been through hell and back then he browns it. He is helping me find a 58 barrel in 1:48 twist in which I want to shoot a 600 gr conical I saw on the net. I did find a 1:28 twist custom barrel but I thought that was too extreme.
