I want to say how pleased I am that so many of you are ready to leave right now... there are some serious rifles listed here. And some good powder charges.

Hmmmmm.....

I only own one inline, no traditional (for now[:@]). Hog hunting, huh- well with what I got on hand right now, I'd have to go with 200 grain .40 cal XTP with 80 grains 777. If I could run to the store, I'd want to go with a heavier bullet for hogs- probably a 300 grain Platinum Powerbelt (.45) in front of 70 grains 777. Or a 195 grain Barnes expander- so many choices, so little time.....

Traditional: T/C White Mountain Carbine, 90gr Goex 2F or Pyrodex Select (if Goex not available), 410gr Hornady Great Plains FP Conical, 100 yards.

Modern: Savage 10ML-II, 45gr AA 5744, 290gr Barnes Spitfire T-EZ, 200 yards.

Always wanted to go hog hunting... I wonder if wild pigs taste like domestic pigs? Hmmm....

Mike

Inline: I would have to take my White U-mag 504 with Lyman peep setup shooting the 350gr FPB over 110gr of 777 (picked up on site for the airlines sake). Shots would be limited to 200 or less.

Trad: I would take my Lyman GPH 50 withLyman peep setup and some 460 NE's or BS's or some Maxiballs over 80 gr of 3F, both shoot well in that gun. Shots would be limited to 175 or less.

Even with the wife home I am gone. She understands (really) and would wish me well. I would be taken the 8mm mag for the rifle hunt with 200 grn nosler partition and my .50 cal hawkens as that is the only rifle I have. In fact I would take that for both hunts and be shooting a .460 gr Buffalo with 90gr of powder.

And I would be making sure the florist send flowers to my wife at least twice while I was gone.

Trad - 54 cal Renegade, 430 gr maxiballs, 100 gr Pyrodex RS, 75-80 yds with a rest.

Inline - Genesis, 350 gr FPB, 100 gr Pyrodex RS, 125 yds with a rest.

I can't imagine this scenario actuall falling into someone's lap, and NOT taking advantage. If it happened to me, I'd burn vacation time, andeven beg or borrow a gun/ML if I had to, to go on an all-paid hunt. My wife love boar too, so there'd be no problem there.

Remington 700 50 cal, 80gr. T7 pushing 300gr. Speer Gold Dot, limit range to 100, 120 yards.

T/C hawkins 75gr. real black 490 round ball and limit range to 100 yards or less with the peep sight.

I also am not fond of hot weather. I hope the outfitter takes reall good and quick care of the harvested game.

That's easy. For the inline I would grab the T/C Triumph,100 gr 777, federal primers, and 300 gr. shockwave bullets.
Distance : 150 yards or less
For the Traditional it would be the 54 cal. Lyman Great Plains Hunter, 100 gr 777, Remington #11 caps, and Hornady 425 gr. Great Plains bullet.
distance: 100 yards or less
