Scope advice
 

Need some advice on a scope to mount on an Omega. I have a Browning 2-7x32 on another Omega that has served me verywell. I would like to lighten things up a bit and have been researching fixed power scopes. Anyone have anyexperience witha 4x32, 4x33, 4x40? Or maybe a 6x40? What I have found is the 4x32's are a little lighter and a little shorter. Seems to be the ticket that I'm looking for. Any advice?..... Or should I stay with a variable?

I have been shooting a Simmons Pro Diamond 4x32mm and could not be happier. Although this $39.99 scope has be worried because for the money it should not work this well or be this clear. Somthing has to give. I also shoot a 2.5x20mm on a different inline. Again, small light, clear, easy to sight. There is nothing wrong with a simple 4x scope.I hunted with one on a 30-06 for years and made shots that would astound people. A 4x is a very good power actually.

What you want to keep in mind is eye relief. And then cost and warranty. I would think they will service you well.

This is not going to help probably, because these are all varible power, but this is the order of my preference...

Bushnell Elite 3200 3x9x40 with Ballistic Reticule
Leupold Ultimate Slam 3x9x40 with SBR Reticule
Leatherwood Hi-Lux 3x9x40 with Ballistic Reticule (Toby Bridges edition)

only change would be if you could find a Bushell elite 4200 3x9x40 @ a reasonable price - somebody just got one for $250.00

I have a Simmons 4X on my Omega X4, and one on a Renegade with a .45 GM LRH barrel. Shot both guns today. Under 200 yards??? It's all the scope you need.
