I have the same style bp on my pro hunter really don't know about the rubber ring either, but so far so good.(about 50 shots so far)The in and out of the bp does take some practice but once you get it there's nothing faster.

What a lot of people don't realize is the triumph and omega are the same barrel and trigger assembly, they just have different stocks on them. you adjust a trigger and tension on barrel or breach closure the same way on each gun.
