I got my cva hawkens about 4 months ago. took it out for it's first range session. Would not fire, got it home found out the lock is broke. after a week of fighting with the lock and the barrel, under jess' (my wife) orders, I sent it to FG (aka MD). found an "rust plug". he also refinished the stock and browned the barrel. also put on an new front and rear site on it. he got it to bark.

I have yet to get it back out to the range. going to get it out thursday.

I am going to have an 54cal barrel coming from deer creek monday once I get everything worked out.

but the 50cal will get a little work out. and I am going to make some smoke. get the edge off.

the barrel I am ordering is in white, so I will have something to do.

Must be nice to order another barrel and not even shot the first one yet. I hope they both shoot well for you.

I was wanting an 54cal. this is going to be the cheapest option. besides, it is going to be a few months before I have the 54cal barrel ready. debating on bluing or browning, going to have to order an rear for it, an underrib, and get an ram rod for it.

well, the barrel went out today, should have it thursday or friday.

I ordered in white, so let the fun, and ass chewing begin.

think I'll get my dad to help. make it a father/son thing.
