Shadow scores some pork
Took the Knight Shadow out Saturday to a public land swamp in South Georgia known to hold some hogs and came away withabout an 80pound sow. I used 95 grains of pyrodex and a 300 grain speer 45-70 flat nose hollow point along with an orange mmp sabot. The shot was about 50 yards and she never took another step. Thanks to Cayugad on directing me to the correct sabot and to Chap forhelping me feel better about using the 45-70's. This wasmy first wild hog and using a muzzleloader definetly made the hunt that much better. This is the first picture that I have tried to upload to this forum so I hope it works.

Congratulations on a great eating hog. It looks like the shot was placed perfect. How far away was she when you shot, and was it a bang flop? Did you get a pass through on that bullet? Again, congratulations on the hog. Very nice job.

A good smoker and some cherry wood chips and you are in for some fine eating for sure. I got a 250 lb wild hog in Texas one year and smoked every bit of that thing. Dang I need another one now. Great shot and congratulations pig slayer.
