Traditions Evolution Long Distance .50 Cal

Anyone have one of these? I usually shoot a T/C Encore, but I found a friend that wants to try something different. It's got everything I like... silver color, camo, long barrel, fluted, etc. It's cheap and I was going to buy it and let my kids use my Encore. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks! Jeff in Ohio

Both of my hunting buddies shoot Traditions- I believe a Buckhunter and a Tracker. Different models, but they are both really accurate rifles. From their experiences & what I've heard, Traditions tend to be very accurate rifles. Only thing I'd say about the Evolution is that being a bolt action, it's going to be more of a pain to clean than a break action.

Accuracy is not usually a problem, but do not expect the quality that you have in your TC. There is usually a certain amount of true in the saying "you get what you pay for" Lee
