Yes, the trigger can be improved -but it is an extremely simple looking design that is anything but simple - best left to a very compentent gunsmith.

It's pretty easy to slick up the triggers IF you pay attention and go CAREFULLY.

If you have not tried to dissassemble it I suggest you do not try. I took mine apart,it was not a pleasant experience.

It's one of those deals....don't do it right the first time you'll be calling TC to order a new part. You can't put metal back on once you grind it off.

I've always thought of messing with mine but I'm not sure I'd tackle it myself (and yesterday was the first time I ever sent something to a gunsmith).

Spray some Birchwood Casey Moly Lube in there. It definately helped mine.

Stalkingbear,
Could you expound on lightening the Omega trigger. Our Omega (great shooting rifle, by the way) trigger breaks clean, but is about 6 pounds.

I just checked the trigger on my new X7.I thought it was a little on the heavy side, though it breaks clean also. To my surprise it broke at 3 lbs. 12 oz. I think the trigger shape and angle makes it seem heavier than it is. Still, I'd like it around 2 lbs. I'm going to pick upsome of that moly lube and give it a try.

Itbreaks cleanly but it seems heavy to me, I was looking at an add on trigger lever Just to make the feel lighter. My friends have a gennisis and a cva buck horn that seem lighter and chrisper than the z5, light enough to surprise me on the letoff when I tried those guns. Just a thought.

Sounds like you need the Accura ;)
