Barnes T-EZ ----VS---- Barnes T-MZ
I was wondering if there would be any difference in accuracybetween these two bullets? I've fired the 290g T-EZ and seem to get pretty good accuracy with them. But the T-MZ has a boat tail base and the T-EZ has a flat base. What's the advantage/disadvantage of a boat tail versus a flat?

If you got the TEZ working for your, then I would say you have an excellent long range bullet and I would stay with it. What load are you shooting that with? Chap |
RE: Barnes T-EZ ----VS---- Barnes T-MZ
Thanks Chap! I started with 120 grains of BH209 and the groups were sub-standard. I backed it off to 100 grains and it was shooting great at 100 yards. I just ordered some more T-EZ's so I'll be getting out and doing some more shooting once they arrive. I ordered some Harvester black sabots with them just to see if they fit a little tighter than the supplied sabots and how it will affect the groups.

Took a buck and a doe with that load in MLer season with the 300g expander MZ, great bullet. I think the T-EZ will be as good for you. You should look for sales now on Traditions, Knight, Midsouth. I did that last winter, in March got 60 MZ for $12 for 20. Only shoot those for hunting. Chap |
