Little shooting with the .54
 

Beautiful warm day today, low 50s and not a breeze of any sort. No wind is weird as for the last week its been worrible 40-60mph gusts.

CVA Mountain Rifle 54cal
Two .015 patches
.530 homecast round ball
80gr Pyrodex RS.
Target-58 yards and shot off my knee with a log to rest the forearm on.



Those hang fires are all on ME. 3 and 5 shot i did not tip the rifle onto the side and give it a wack [:@]. This is something that i always catch myself doing on the range.

She'll have a .58cal partner in a month or so. Taking my time on putting it together.

Next time out i am going to you my shooting sticks as its a lot more comfortable.

that is some real good shooting. Were you aiming dead center in that black spot?

Nope, 6 O'clock hold. Its printing 2" high which puts me dead on @ 100.

:( #3 shot is the highest. When i was pulling the trigger i felt the rifle shift a little upward. I used my shooting sticks.
