Well guys, most of you know I'm a sidelock kind of guy. I've always said the Mustang was my one and only in-line and I had no need or desire for another.
That was until I shouldered a TC Omega X7 at Cabelas about six months ago. What a sweet little carbine length gun. Got a hankering for one right away.
So today, the day after Christmas, I visited Cabala's to check out the prices. Wandered up to the Bargain Cave and, DANG, there on the gun rack was a stainless X7.

Thetag said Regular Price$549.99, SALE $476.99, with a Bargain Cave price of $428.99.
It also said DAMAGED - BUY AS IS - NO RETURN.
So I started looking for the damage. This is what I found in the location marked with thatwhite arrow you see in the first picture.
There was a Cabala's damage locator sticker next to the spot.

Other than that ding, the gun was perfectly clean and new - with the TC Manual package still attached.
Heck, that ding did not bother me at all. So I took the gun to the pretty lady at the Bargain Cave counter and
asked "Are you the section manager".
She says "No, I'm not"
So I say, "Can you call a manager and tell her I will buy this gun for $328?"
She looks at the tag and starts to pick up the phone. Then she stops, picks up a price sticker gun, dials in some numbers,
prints out a new sticker, and sticks it on the tag.

I smiled my best smile and say "Thank you very much". She says "You're welcome, come again."
I almost ran to the cash registers up front.

Used my coupon that says $30 off your nextpurchase of $150and ended up paying $298 plus tax.
Yep, the LAST in-line I will ever buy followed me home.

Well I sure wound not have bought some old dinged up Omega for that kind of money unless they threw in a bottle of BlackHorn 209
That is a great deal you got there. For that price you had to purchase it. There was no other choice as I see it.

Great deal on that rifle, congrats.
I've never done it but I have a friend that uses a damp rag and a clothes iron to raise dings in wood stocks. Depending on how deep it is you may be able to bring it back up to level, then just touch it up a bit and it'll be almost like new. Or leave as is for character.
