Cool man! What scope mounts/rings are those?

SW those are cva universal see thru scope mounts. I picked them up from a sporting goods store here that had them reduced for $2.00. They work great on the Genesis since the picture I have added a silver atec scope to the rifle.

You are going to have a rifle that can do it all. Just remember you Genesis owners, after about five shots, take an alcohol patch and wipe that cam and firing pin off. If not there can be a build up in there. A simple wipe and you can keep right on shooting.

Did you notice that when shooting BH you didn't have to do that or did you still swipe it? I always had to wipe it w/every powder except for BH. I've shot as many as 20 times and it never locked up. As you say, about 4 or 5 shots w/everything else.

That being said, I had one of the first Genesis' that came out. Last week I just bought another one. The finish on the "Torch Cam" is different on the two of them. The early model the finish was a lot smoother and more of a polished finish. This new one (Laminate/Thumbhole) has a rougher feel to it. I have yet to get a chance to shoot the new one but I'm interested to see if it has the same effect on it as the early model did.

UC, if you see this thread, did you notice any difference in the two that you had?

I am one of these that constently clean parts of the rifle as I shoot. I mentioned wiping the cam because on another forum a person stated that he could only get five shots off with his Genesis before the firing pin failed to ignite the primer. I mentioned wiping the cam off but they would not reply. Have any of the Genesis owners noticed that after five shots the firing pin failed to function. I have not, but then I often take the patch I swab with and wipe down other parts of the rifle that might be effected...

The issue I've had is that the Cam would get stuck close if it fouled too much. I've never had a problem w/a primer not going off even when I got it really stuck one time [&o]

I'm out of BH so when I get a chance to shoot the new one I'll see if this new finish changes anything.

There was too much time passed between the first and second, but I thought I noticed some change in both the cut for the latch and protrusion it latches on. Didn't notice the finish and couldn't be sure about the design change - just didn't seem the same to me. I thought the first one had more of a ball while the second looked more like a simple pin. Need some good pics of newer vs older in that cam area.

I sold my blue/black one for next to nothing to a friend in N.C. who wanted to get into ML because I was buying the Laminate one so I have to go from memory as well.

I do agree about the pin/ball,this one is more of a pin where my older one was a ball. The newone actually closes more securely. I'm about 95% sure on the finish though... Oh well, not a bad thing, just something I noticed.
