Default ICE

Here in north Arkansas we got two inches of ice and sleet. Roads were completely covered and traffic slowed down big time. The temp got down into the upper teens. Get this thur the temp is supposed to be 60. Like they say you dont like the weather in Arkansas Just wait it will change shortly. lol.

West KY, Hwy 62, 15 wrecks in 4 hrs in the same 1 mile stretch of icy road. You'd think someone would spread salt and sand after say the first 5 or 6 wrecks!

Tell me about it. They did very little to our roads here to. I know we dont get a whole lot of bad weather, but we always get a little bit.

Its finally warm here in Northern Wisconsin. We hit five above this morning although they said more below temps will be coming. At least a person can go outside. Although its snowing.

I hate ice. Nothing worse then ice. I'd rather drive in a foot of snow then on an inch of ice. And that Black Ice you all (as my sister in Georgia used to say) get down south.. keep it. How you can function on roads with that stuff is beyond me. Give me cold and snow any day. Be safe down there and wait for things to thaw..

Yep that black ice really does suck. Power lines down its a real mess. We had a thin sheet of ice and then all the sleet so it wasnt as bad THANK GOD.

No matter where you live.. there is some weather condition that just stinks. Some States worry about tornadoes, hurricanes, tropical storms, blizzards, ice storms, you name it and something is going to happen. Just can't escape it, so we learn to live with it. If not.. move.

I thought that saying was... "If you don't like the weather in the Ozarks, just wait 30 minutes."

I am on Greers Fairy lake in AR, I guess I would call it north central, we got enough to spoil the last day of the last muzzle loader season and shut things down for 2 days. Lee
