Beautiful head, but he has awfully short legs.

Good story Hammer, and an excellent buck.
If you decide not to have him mounted, consider a home-done European mount. They aren't very difficultto do and are (in my view) pretty attractive.Actually, I prefer them - and they don't take up a lot of space.I did this one myself. The mounting board was cutfrom an old Oak cabinet door. ![]() |

ORIGINAL: lemoyne Hammer49 Congratulations. And since some people have been putting down Shock Waves tell us what you think of the job they do. Lee I can honestly say that the Shock Wave is an outstanding bullet. The exit hole in the doe at approx. 100 yds was between a quarter and half-dollar. She flopped around for a minute or so but didn't make it 15 yds. The buck was a bang-flop. These bullets are so very accurate it is hard to imagine shooting anything else. Simply having the confidence that the bullet is going to end up where I am aiming is awfully powerful. I hope to knock down a few more in the weeks to come so I will keep you posted. Hammer |

Can you give a brother a few tips on this type mount. Given the current state of the economy,a cheapier route is most likelythe one to be pursued. Thanks in advance! Hammer |
